This logo design was initially started for a specific organization, but the group voted down the design I had worked on with one of its members. I then took in it a slightly different direction, changing up the wording and shifting the other components around a bit.
The design features the American flag as a backdrop, with a smooth coated collie dog, two ducks, and a lamb. These animals are commonly herded in competitions.
The main text is bold enough to stand out over the characters in the design, but not so strong as to completely overwhelm the rest of it. The secondary text is smaller and uniform, but doesn’t pull the eye as hard.
